James W. Reetz

James W. Reetz, age 76, of Neillsville, WI passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 7:36 p.m. at the Marshfield Medical Center ICU in Marshfield, WI.

James William Reetz was born on June 27, 1945 the son of George and Martha (Olson) Reetz.  He was united in marriage to Linda Lou Kirchoff on March 6, 1966 in Racine, WI.  James loved hunting and fishing.  He was taken to his heavenly home too soon.  He was a great father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Jim was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville and a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.

James was the father to 4 children; Pamela Sue (Brad Zipfel) Reetz of Neillsville, Thomas Allen (Karol Cole) Reetz of Greenwood, WI, Michelle Lee (Bart) Gaffney, Withee, WI and Randy Ray (Elisha) Reetz of Black River Falls, WI, 12 grandchildren, Brandy Reetz Winslow, Nathan W. Larson, Austin B. Zipfel, Brandon Zipfel, Jazmine Zipfel, Barthelemew Gaffney, Alexandria Gaffney, Cheyenne Gaffney, McKenna Reetz, Leah Reetz, Isabelle Reetz and Avah Reetz and 4 great grandchildren; Alanna Carteron, Morgan Winslow, Brielle Winslow and Louis Winslow Jr.  He is also survived by 2 sisters, Marjorie (Ellis) Pettis Sr. and Marcella Pettis both of Augusta, WI.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kirchoff Reetz, his parents, George and Martha Reetz and a brother-in-law, Ivan Pettis.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI.  Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday morning prior to the service.  Inurnment will be in Dells Dam Cemetery.
