Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department Releases December Statistics

(By Tom Loucks/Communications Director) December was a busy month for Marshfield Fire & Rescue, with crews responding to more than 325 total calls for service across fire and EMS operations.

According to Tom Loucks, Communications Director with the City of Marshfield, the department handled 300 EMS responses and 27 fire responses, with peak activity occurring on December 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 28.

On average, responders handled just over 10 calls per day, often managing multiple calls simultaneously. In addition to emergency response, Fire & Rescue staff completed 73 fire inspections and logged 644 hours of training, ensuring continued readiness, safety, and professional development.

This snapshot highlights the dedication of our firefighters and EMS personnel and their ongoing commitment to protecting lives and property in the City of Marshfield and the Greater Marshfield Area.
