(Mike Leischner, WSAU) Autopsy results show a 34-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man died of self-inflicted injuries last week.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, police say Antoni Quinones’ injuries “were consistent with being self-inflicted.” Based on those findings and investigative evidence, they’ve determined that his death was an isolated incident and there is no further danger to the public or connection with any other case.
Quinones was dropped off at the Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Emergency Room late last week. He died while receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries.
Police Chief Daniel Hostens expressed condolences to the family, stating: “This is a tragic loss of life, and our thoughts are with Mr. Quinones’ family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Incidents like this have a profound impact on those close to the individual and on our community as a whole.” No further information was provided.
