Wisconsin DATCP Secretary Receives Honorary American FFA Degree

Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 -- 10:00 AM

(Blake Jackson, Wisconsin Ag Connection) Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) Secretary Randy Romanski was honored with the prestigious Honorary American FFA Degree during the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo held in Indianapolis.

According to Blake Jackson with the Wisconsin Ag Conneciton, this distinguished award is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing agricultural education and supporting FFA’s mission.

It recognizes those whose dedication goes beyond daily efforts, creating lasting impacts on students and inspiring future generations of agricultural leaders. Recipients, approved by the National FFA Organization’s board of directors, each receive a plaque and medal in recognition of their service.

“It’s important to invest in our youth, and perhaps no organization knows that better than the FFA,” said Romanski. “Through efforts such as the Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council, which is now in its sixth cohort, DATCP is able to engage with young agriculturists in Wisconsin, connect them with professionals and industry leaders across the state, and help them chart career pathways in agriculture. I am grateful to receive this recognition and extend my sincere thanks to the FFA.”

The FFA, a national youth leadership organization, helps students interested in agriculture build leadership skills through agricultural education. It empowers members to discover their potential and succeed through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
