According to Eau Claire police, on June 11, 2024, investigators from the Madison Police Department contacted the Eau Claire Police Department to ask for help in arresting Jerome Jacobs Jr. who is wanted in connection to an attempted homicide of two people.
Madison police said Jacobs was believed to be in the Eau Claire area and provided a description of the rental vehicle he was associated with. Eau Claire police say authorities attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Jacobs fled.

According to additional information from Eau Claire police, Rogers admitted to investigators that she drove Jerome Jacobs from the residence on 900 Water Street and out of the Eau Claire area.
Investigators were able to gather information and evidence to establish the connection between Rogers and Jacobs. She was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, harboring or aiding a felon. Another charge was dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to six months in jail.
