Black River Falls Man Arrested After High Speed Chase

A Black River Falls man was arrested after a high speed chase in Jackson County.
According to a release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, on Monday, June 30th, around 11:07pm, a Deputy with the Department observed a speeding violation on State Highway 54 in the Township of Brockway. During an attempted stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle pursuit continued for just over a mile before the suspect lost control and entered the ditch.
The driver, 37-year-old Dustin Torkelson of Black River Falls, surrendered to the deputy without further incident. Torkleson was booked into the Jackson County Jail for fleeing an officer.
