Zayn is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by East Valley Veterinarian Clinic located at 2510 Black River Road just North of Neillsville and east of the Black River. (https://eastvalleyvetclinic.net/)

Name: Zayn

Age: 1-Year-Old

Breed:

Meet Zayn, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Zayn came to CCHS from a farm in the Curtiss area. The farm had been sold, so the kitties needed to find a new place to live.

Zayn is one sweet boy! He's so very handsome with a short-haired coat that is white with gray tabby highlights. He is a little over 1 year old and weighs 7.1#. Zayn is sweet, loving and playful, but he did test positive for Feline Leukemia.

This is a virus that affects their immune system and can make a kitty more susceptible to other infections and illness, such as an upper respiratory infection with a runny nose.

FeLV positive cats can still live happy and healthy lives, although they may experience a shortened life span. FeLV is contagious between cats, so Zayn will need to be the only kitty in his new home or to live with others cats that are Feline Leukemia positive.

Zayn has one of the best personalities around, and craves attention and being with people. He is also a playful little guy and will provide lots of love and entertainment for his new family.

He's really hoping some one can find it in their hearts to give him a chance at a happy home. If that's you, please apply to adopt Zayn today! You can submit your adoption application on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt.

Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS? Well, now's your chance! Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out.

We are very much in need of volunteers! You can learn more and sign up on our website: https://www.cchs-petshelter.org/volunteer or email April at [email protected]. Come join our CCHS volunteer family!
