Wausau Man Charged with his 5th OWI

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Wausau man is accused of his 5th drunk driving offense after an altercation with a family in a residential neighborhood Saturday evening.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Matthew Corp is accused of nearly striking a child, then threatening to shoot another group of people. He fled the scene before police arrived.
When they caught up to him, he blew a .20, ten times his legal limit of .02 due to his prior convictions. Court records show his previous OWI offenses date back to 1995.
He also faces a felony count of recklessly endangering safety. All told, the charges could land him in prison for 20 years and $50,000 in fines. The 60-year-old returns to court for a preliminary hearing on May 7th.
He’s free after posting a $2,500 cash bond.
