One of Two People Arrested for Helping Hixton Home Invasion Suspect Sentenced in Jackson County Court

One of two people arrested for helping a Hixton home invasion suspect is sentenced in Jackson County Court.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, James Syverson and Pamela Lien were arrested back in November of 2023. During their investigation and search of Anthony Sylvester, they learned Syverson and Lien were helping Sylvester elude law enforcement.
Sylvester was arrested on October 26th of 2023 after he entered an individual’s home and stabbed another person. On March 26th of this year, Syverson was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, harboring/aiding a felon and two counts of obstructing an officer.
He was sentenced to a 12 month diversion agreement plus fines and costs. Back in February, Sylvester was sentenced to 8 years in prison and 6 years extended supervision. Lien is scheduled for a plea/sentencing hearing on April 28th.
