The Store Convenience Brand Has New Operator

(Caitlin Shuda, USA TODAY NETWORK - Wisconsin) The Store convenience store brand has a new operator and will soon have new branding, according to Caitlin Shuda, USA TODAY NETWORK - Wisconsin.

According to a release from Team Schierl Companies, Reliance Fuel of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, is the brand’s new operator as of Dec. 20. All employees retained their positions and all current locations will remain open, the release said.

The Impact Rewards Plus mobile loyalty app will also continue. “Thank you to all of our guests, associates and the communities that have been loyal patrons of The Store for almost 50 years,” Stevens Point-based Team Schierl wrote in its release. “We have appreciated your support of our family-owned business.”

Team Schierl Companies still operates seven Schierl Tire and Auto Service locations and 30 Subway restaurants. According to a Monday release from Reliance Fuel, the company is excited to acquire The Store convenience stores across Wisconsin.

"We look forward to continuing the excellent service, variety of Wisconsin-produced products, and quality fuel that The Store communities have come to expect,” the company said in its release.

According to Reliance Fuel, “little is going to change except a few logos and colors.” The Store will be updated to carry Reliance Fuel’s Fuel On Wisconsin branding.

The rebrand will be a slow transitions, and no store locations will close as they are updated, according to Reliance Fuel. The brand will match Reliance Fuel’s Fuel On Pennsylvania brand.
