Wood County Sheriff’s Department Releases Names of Individuals Involved in Car vs. Motorcylce Crash

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has released the names of the individuals involved in a fatal car vs. motorcycle crash on Thursday.
According to the Department the crash occurred on Thursday around 7:16pm. The Wood County Dispatch Center was notified of a crash at the intersection of Hwy 10 and Hwy N in the Township of Milladore. The dispatch center was informed the crash involved a vehicle versus motorcycle.
Wood County Deputies and 1st Responders made contact at the scene and medical procedures were initiated. Lifesaving attempts with the motorcycle operator, identified as 60-year-old Alonzo Dvorak of Wausau, were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger from the motorcycle, identified as 57-year-old Monica Dvorak of Wausau, sustained multiple injuries and was transported via Lifelink for additional medical care.
The operator of the motor vehicle, identified as 86-year-old Marlene Furo of Junction City, sustained injuries and was personally transported to a medical facility. Initial on scene investigation indicates a northbound motor vehicle failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign on Hwy N while attempting to cross Hwy 10.
From this action, the motorcycle traveling eastbound on 10, collided with the motor vehicle. This incident remains under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff's Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Portage County Sheriff's Department, Life Link Helicopter, Sherry 1st Responders, Marshfield Ambulance Service, Dave's Service Center, Draxler's Service Center and the Wood County Highway Department.
