Marathon County Public Library Locations Celebrating 2024 Total Solar Eclipse

All MCPL locations will be celebrating the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.

As part of a grant, MCPL has received solar eclipse glasses to give away for free at all nine locations. The public is also invited to a variety of eclipse-themed events across Marathon County.

Eclipse glasses will be prioritized for program participants, but glasses can also be picked up first come first served at all locations starting on Monday, April 1 and will be handed out until April 8 while supplies last.

Glasses will be limited to one pair per person or two per group. The eclipse will last about three hours, so MCPL encourages groups and families to share glasses. They recommend glasses be for ages 8+.
