Arkansas Man Arrested in Marshfield for Battery and Disorderly Conduct

An Arkansas man was arrested in Marshfield for resisting an officer, battery, disorderly conduct, and more.
According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, on Tuesday, January 16th, around 5:40pm, officers were requested to the Neva Jean motel at 2301 W. Veterans Parkway for a report that a male was threatening other guests.
Officers arrived on scene and made contact with a 43-year-old El Dorado, Arkansas man. Officers attempted to detain the man who then became resistive and battered officers. The man was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center emergency department for medical clearance.
The man continued his verbally assaultive behavior towards officers and ER staff. He was transported to the Marathon County Jail for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, Battery to Law Enforcement, and Resisting an Officer.
Charges will be sent to the Wood County District Attorney's Office for Disorderly Conduct and Threats to an Officer.
