La Crosse Man Charged with Death of Local Woman

-New charges have been filed against a La Crosse man that crashed a vehicle in March resulting in the death of a local woman.Paige Metz of Loyal was killed when Tyler Deal allegedly lost control of the vehicle which then spun into a utility pole on the passenger side.
Drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the vehicle after the accident and charges were filed against Deal after he recovered from his injuries.
At first, only misdemeanor charges of possession were filed against him. Now, new charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, homicide by use of a vehicle, and homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle have been filed against him due to the death of Metz. The new charges are all felonies.
A $20,000 signature bond was set for Deal and he cannot consume alcohol, have no contact with the victim?s parents, no driving, no consuming of controlled substances unless prescribed, and he must continue to live with his parents with a curfew.
Deal will appear in court again at the end of this month.
