Coronavirus Number for February 8th

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 3,028 positive cases, an increase of 18 since Friday.  Of those, 50 are currently active.  Clark County has had 56 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 549,826 positive cases (an increase of 671 over the previous day) and 6,054 deaths, an increase of 2 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 24,885, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

More than 164,000 Wisconsin residents have finished their vaccine series for COVID-19, the state’s top health agency indicates Wednesday.  According to preliminary state Department of Health Services’ data, there have been 164,026 Wisconsinites fully vaccinated, or have received both doses of the COVID-19 shot, to date.  DHS notes that 761,212 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has been administered in all.

Eau Claire has seen 10,767 positive and 101 deaths,

Jackson has seen 2,556 positive and 22 deaths.

Marathon has seen 13,403 positive and 170 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,766 positive and 20 deaths

And Wood has seen a total of 6,523 positive cases and 68 deaths.
