Koula Trial Begins Today

The trial for the West Salem day trader accused of gunning down his parents will start today.Prosecutors have charged Eric Koula, a Neillsville graduate, with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the deaths of Merna and Dennis Koula. They were found shot to death in their town of Barre home in May 2010.
Prosecutors say Koula killed them to collect on his inheritance. His attorney contends a professional killer executed the couple.
