Rear License Plate Needed For All-Terrain Vehicles
Monday, June 4th, 2012 -- 8:15 AM
The state Department of Natural Resources is reminding people they'll need a rear license plate for their all-terrain and utility-terrain vehicles if they plan to use them in public areas starting next month.Currently vehicle users need to display only a registration decal. Gov. Scott Walker signed a law earlier this year mandating that users in public areas must display a rear plate as well beginning July 1.
Vehicle owners can create their own plates. They must be at least 4 inches high and 7-1/2 inches wide with black letters and numbers on a white background.
