-Two silos collapsed on a Colby farm this past weekend. The owner, John Burkholder, awoke to the sound of a 60-foot concrete silo crashing to the ground, which destroyed another silo and damaged a barn and feed building.
About 100 people from the community went to the 234-acre farm west of Colby on Sunday to salvage as much of the haylage from the collapsed silo as possible.
The exact cause of the collapse has yet to be determined.
Burkholder said he plans to rebuild the two silos on the other side of the barn.
