Marshfield Man Sentenced for Possession

-A Marshfield man arrested after a chase was sentenced in Wood County Court.

At the end of 2019, the Marshfield Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop in the 400 block of Park Street.  The driver, Alexander Dixon, resisted officers and tried to run.  He was eventually taken into custody.  Over $5,000 worth of various drugs were discovered in Dixon’s vehicle.

Dixon pleaded guilty to possession with intent cocaine, possession with intent to deliver narcotics and bail jumping.  Several other charges were dismissed and read in.  Dixon was sentenced to 4 years in state prison and 5 years of extended supervision.
