-The Highground had its annual Helicopter Expo on Saturday.A large numbers of visitors turned out to enjoy the activities at the Expo. Students from Rib Lake toured the grounds and then participated in a traditional Highground ceremony by ringing the replica Liberty bell and reading the names aloud of all the Wisconsin service men and women who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Highground would like to thank Jim Ottman for trailering in a UH-1H Huey Helicopter from the VVA Chapter 331 in River Falls. They would also like to thank Kerry Johnson and friends, Don Anibas, Ernst Hediger, as well as Ginny & Bob Teska for bringing their military vehicles and exhibits for display.
The Highground brings the helicopter and military vehicles to its park as part of its mission of healing and education.
