C.E.S.A. 10 (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) hosted their first ever Virtual Science Fair last month and some Neillsville Middle School students did very well. After creating or researching a science project, students had the choice of making a two-minute video or power point presentation explaining their project. They also wrote a process paper detailing the steps they completed during the project.
Three projects from the Neillsville Middle School were submitted and placed in this Virtual Fair. 1st place went to Teddy Silbernagel for his project on How Much Energy Items Use When Turned Off. 2nd place went to Dalton Durst for his project about programming NANORGS in a virtual world. And 3rd place went to Tristen Heidemann and Phoenix Olsen for their project dealing with What Affects Heart Rate.
Carol Zable, CESA 10 Educational Consultant commented on the projects saying "their work was very thorough and thought provoking." Each student received a Certificate of Excellence, a placement ribbon and a Books-a-Millon (BAM) gift card for their hard work and effort.
