Letter Carriers Food Drive
Friday, May 11th, 2012 -- 8:39 AM
-Tomorrow, post offices will be participating in the annual Letter Carriers Food Drive. This is an opportunity for community members to help out local food pantries by donating non-perishable donations in a bag, which was delivered on Wednesday, by your mailbox.
Lisa Schilling, the Postmaster for Neillsville, is really looking forward to the food drive. She said that they always get an overwhelming response from the community.
Local food pantries receive the bulk of their stock from the Letter Carrier's Food Drive.
Lisa wanted to remind everyone that the drive is on Saturday, May 12th. And you can leave non-perishable food items in the bag that was delivered or any bag or box. Make sure that the item is something that can be on the shelf for a long period of time. If possible, try to avoid glass items tomorrow, just in case they would get broken.
