Friday, May 11th, 2012 -- 8:35 AM
-The Clark County Forestry and Parks Committee meeting on Thursday was attended by 40 citizens in favor of expanded use of the Clark County Fairgrounds as well as keeping large events that are currently held at the ground. One of the large events is the Central Wisconsin Horse Sale held in the spring and fall of each year. Both the committee and the citizens united on continuing to drive use of the fairgrounds for economic development.
After some discussion, the committee set rates of use at $500.00 daily for large events.
It is also the Forestry and Parks Committee intent to work closely with the City of Neillsville and the county?s Economic Development Committee to maintain, promote, and drive new events to the Clark County Fairgrounds.
