Neillsville City Council Approves Purchase of Former BMO Harris Building

Neillsville City Hall may have a new home.

The City of Neillsville had been discussing purchasing the former BMO Harris Bank building on Division Street in Neillsville.  This would provide the city with more space and more parking then the current facility.

As we reported, at the January 12th meeting of the Common Council, the council went into closed session and began the first step of acquiring the building.  The council approved purchasing the building pursuant to the accepted offer of $325,000.00.

The council approved to borrow the BMO Bank building purchase price temporarily from the City’s Budgetary Reserve Fund until the borrowing for the full project is arranged for, no later than December 31st of this year.
