-Four Seniors at Greenwood High School are looking forward to going to Madison today for the National History Day State Competition at UW-Madison.?It?s a great experience,? said Josh Harlander.
Jennifer Baker, Josh Harlander, and Cyrus Nigon will be displaying their project in the group category. Their project is about the advancement and revolution of technology, specifically the Apollo 18 program. ?It was amazing to see how much our country came together in order to send a man to the moon,? said Jennifer Baker. ?I don?t think our country has seen anything like that since then.?
Allison Susa is displaying her project in the solo category. Her project is the revolution of war with chemical warfare.
Allison Susa was amazed by the amount of research that was done. ?They did so much research about the different chemicals to find what worked and the really advanced technology to make it work.?
Cyrus Nigon said, ?The judging is mostly based on the historical content of the board, plus they look at how the board looks among other things.?
If these projects win in the state competition, they will advance to Nationals in Washington D.C. in June.
