A 16-year-old, who is being tried as an adult, made an initial appearance in Clark County Court yesterday.Blade Multerer has been accused of setting several fires and taking part in a house burglary. The long list of charges filed against him includes arson, theft, criminal damage, and more.
Richard Lewis appeared on behalf of the state and Matt Torgerson appeared in defense of Multerer.
Torgerson told the court his client wanted to waive the reading of the charges.
Lewis set terms of bond, one condition being that Multerer has no contact with others involved in the vandalism. He then asked the judge for a $500 cash bond due to the severity of the charges. However, Multerer?s attorney asked that the bond be reconsidered as his client is still in school and has made all his court appearances so far.
Judge Jon Counsell did set a $2500 signature bond telling Multerer that it was his one chance to continue to do the right thing.
Multerer has a future court date in June.
