Pre-Trial Conference Held for Home Invasion Suspect
Monday, April 23rd, 2012 -- 11:17 AM
-A pre-trial conference regarding Alexander Lee took place today.Alex Lee, along with his accomplice Robert Stargardt, has been accused of viciously beating Lance Poeschel earlier this year. The long list of charges filed against him includes burglary and battery.
There was a lengthy delay before the conference, due to confusion on behalf of the prosecuting attorney. Gerald Fox, the DA from Jackson County, was dealing with so many conferences and pre-trail meetings that he wasn?t able to appear in court, but appeared by phone 45 minutes after the trial began.
Lee wasn?t present at the conference, but his attorney, John Bachman appeared on his behalf. Bachman told the court that, ?depending on what is decided regarding this case, Marathon County will consider dropping their case against Lee,? in which he has possession charges filed against him.
Both attorneys told Judge Nicholas Brazeau that they were ready to set a plea date, but Bachman first wanted to confer with his client to make sure they were ?still on the same page.?
