Many Items Highlighted at Loyal School District Board Meeting

-The Loyal school board held their board meeting Wednesday night and District Administrator Cale Jackson highlighted the major items of the meeting.The board swore in their new member Kenny Loos who is replacing Dave Fricke because he decided not to run.
They also highlighted some things happening in the school.
The Loyal band earned straight first in the Large Group Band Festival held on March 20th. This is the first time that was achieved in 10 years.
The Forensics team has 19 students going to state.
A team of four welders went to the North Central Technical College welding competition and out of 20 teams, they took 2nd place. Their prize was a new welding machine.
Finally, they went over their state WKEC testing scores; the elementary and jr. high students did very well, scoring above the average. And although the high school students are not exactly where the board would like them to be, Cale Jackson did say, ?if you compare their scores now to their scores in 8th grade, they have made significant improvement and we're very happy with that".
