Antique Appraisal at Thorp Public Library

-The Thorp Public Library is holding an Antique Appraisal program tomorrow.Mark Moran has been an appraiser for many years of his life and has even been an on the Antiques Roadshow. ?The Antiques Roadshow makes for long days. We need to be on the stage by 7:30 in the morning and it?s rare for us to get done before 7:30 in the evening.? Mark said.
Last August Mark started his own appraisal program. Mark said, ?My goal was to book 100 events my first year and I?ve already reached that goal. In fact, I?m already booking events for 2013.?
Mark travels around the upper mid-west to various locations to appraise local residents treasures. Mark commented, ?I like going to these small communities. They always have the best turnout.?
Mark said he likes the people that come to the small town programs. ?Many people who come to these events aren?t really interested in the value of the item. They usually come with an item that has been passed down in the family and they want to know the back story of the item.?
The Antique Appraisal program is at the Thorp Public Library from 4:00 to 7:00 this Wednesday.
