Romney Takes Wisconsin

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012 -- 12:26 AM

-Mitt Romney has won the Wisconsin, Washington D.C., and Maryland primaries giving him 600 of the necessary 1,144 delegates needed before the primaries end in June.

After the polls closed, Rick Santorum did not mention his defeat in the primaries, but is already focusing his efforts on his home state of Pennsylvania and Mitt Romney began to attack President Obama saying he was a little out of touch with the common man.

Returns from 10 percent of the state's precincts showed Romney with 42 percent of the vote to 39 percent for Santorum, 11 percent for Ron Paul and 6 percent for Newt Gingrich.

If the rest of Wisconsin had voted like the resident of Clark County, the results would have been very different. Rick Santorum had the lead all night in Clark County and ended with 2,073 votes or 46.86% and Mitt Romney had 1,311 votes or 29.63%.

You can find a complete list of republican primary results for the county and for local races online at cwbradio.com.
