Marshfield Woman Sentenced for Sexual Assault

-A 32-year-old Marshfield woman was sentenced Monday to 13 years in prison for sexually assaulting a young girl.According to the Marshfield News Herald, authorities say Amy J. Fisher and her boyfriend, Gregory J. Soppe, 35, Marshfield, inappropriately touched a girl younger than 12 multiple times during a five-year period.
On Monday, Wood County Circuit Judge Nicholas Brazeau Jr. gave Fisher credit for 244 days already served for repeated sexual assault of a child. Brazeau also sentenced Fisher to 20 years of extended supervision to follow her prison sentence and ordered her to pay $250, maintain absolute sobriety, have no contact with minors, give a DNA sample and maintain a steady residence and employment.
According to court documents, in June 2011, a young girl told a Department of Human Resources employee in another county that Fisher and Soppe touched her inappropriately.
Soppe is scheduled for a June 14 jury trial on charges of repeated sexual assault of a child and first-degree sexual assault of a child.
