NEW INFO: Tomorrow's Clark County COVID Vaccination Clinic Now Cancelled Due to Weather
Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021 -- 12:29 PM
The Clark County Health Department COVID-19 vaccination clinic, which was scheduled for Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Curtiss, is being cancelled. After careful consideration of the current forecast for a winter storm to impact our area tomorrow, this decision was made.
Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate during the day and the safety of those who were scheduled to come to the clinic, along with the staff who would be working, made the cancellation necessary.
The safety of all involved and reducing the number of vehicles travelling in potentially hazardous conditions was balanced with the fact that people want to be vaccinated as quickly as possible.
This was a very difficult decision. They will continue to work to schedule additional clinics at later dates and will share information regarding those clinics as it becomes available.
Please do not call the Health Department regarding your appointment for tomorrow. Clark County Health Department staff is contacting those who had an appointment to discuss other opportunities which may be available to them to receive the vaccine.
They appreciate everyone’s understanding regarding this decision and urge everyone to remain alert to the weather and avoid any unnecessary travel.
Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
