-We have more information on the crash that injured some local residents.According to WAOW, Alexander Dickey, 19, of Black River Falls was driving west on Highway H and stopped in the lane of traffic near the intersection with Highway V to check directions because he was unfamiliar with the area, said Lt. Shawn Becker of the Wood County Sheriff's Department. Dickey's passenger was Samantha Crothers, 16, of Neillsville.
A vehicle driven by Michelle Klump, 23, of Neillsville struck the back of Dickey's vehicle because she was unable to stop to avoid a collision, Becker said. Natalie Burkhalter, 4, was the only passenger in Klump's vehicle.
The impact pushed Dickey's vehicle into a house near the intersection causing minor damage to the home, Becker said.
Both drivers and their passengers were transported by ambulance to Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
