Teenager Taken to Hospital After Accident

-A teenager was taken to the hospital after his bike crashed into a car.This past Friday the Stanley Police Department, Stanley Fire Department and Boyd-Edson-Delmar Ambulance Service were dispatched to the intersection of County Highway H and Second Avenue in the city of Stanley for a car crash involving a bicycle. The call was originally dispatched as a car colliding with a pedestrian.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that the driver of the car, a 17 year-old from Thorp, was stopped at the stop sign on Second Avenue at County Highway H.
A 15 year-old bicyclist was southbound on the sidewalk adjacent to County Highway H, approaching Second Avenue, attempted to stop, and collided with the car at the stop sign. The bicyclist received minor injuries from the collision and was transported to Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley, for medical observation, and was the only person injured in the collision.
The vehicle had very minor damage from the collision.
