Abbotsford Lions Choose Student of the Quarter

-Abbotsford High School senior Sophie Blair has been named the Abbotsford Lions Club Student of the Quarter for the second quarter of the current school year.According to the Marshfield News Herald, Blair's rigorous class schedule includes economics, physics, trigonometry, novels, clay creations, world designer, world literature survey, social problems and issues, medical terminology, personal finance and band.
Science and match teacher Andrew Brehm nominated Blair for the Student of the Quarter award. He has had Blair as a math and science student for four years.
Co-curricular activities at Abbotsford High School play an important role for Blair. Her involvement includes volleyball, softball, FFA, FBLA, Student Senate, Spanish Club, National Honor Society and jazz band. Blair has been a member of the Marawood Conference Honors Band for three years.
Community activities also are important to Blair. She has volunteered to help with the Abbotsford Christmas Parade and for many activities at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan, including summer Bible school, the annual summer picnic and serving as a lector.
