-Area school districts are trying to help Clark County. The School districts of Abbotsford, Colby, Granton, Greenwood, Loyal, Neillsville, Owen-Withee, and Thorp have partnered with the Clark County Economic Development Corporation for a billboard campaign. The campaign was first thought of and executed around 3 years ago and it was recently started again.
The billboards dare students to be great by gaining their education from Clark County schools. Sheila Nyberg, Executive Director of CCEDC, says that ?it?s a great way to attract potential students for schools and to support local schools as well. It?s also a great way to try and bring in new employees to area businesses. The more people we have wanting to work the more businesses come in. It?s all connected.?
You can find the billboards on Hwy 10, east of Neillsville, Hwy H, east of Chili, and the intersection of Hwy 13/29 in Abbotsford. The duration of how long the billboards will be up depends on how long they have before something new goes up, but they could be up for as little as 3 months or as long as 2 years.
