Volunteers Honored at Friends of The Highground Dinner

-The Friends of the Highground Dinner was held on Saturday.Invitations were mailed to contributors who donated their equipment and/or dollars totaling over $1,000 in 2011. Guests were welcomed to Fannie?s Supper Club by The Highground Volunteer General Manager Kirk Rodman and the Board of Directors Chair Michael Weaver. Following a family style dinner, Kirk gave a special thanks to those whose generous support is so deeply appreciated and honored them with a plaque.
As part of The Highground?s mission on healing and education, they recognize someone who?s Spirit touches us and makes The Highground so special. This year the Spirit Award was presented to Dave Droste (Hardee?s) for partnering with The Highground. Dave is always seeking out ways to bring awareness and funds to The Highground.
A second Spirit of the Highground Award was presented to Greg Hoppe, who has kept The Highground?s web site looking great, in addition to many ?running? over to their Timberframe offices to help with computer problems and taking pictures during events.
The Board of Directors presented a ?memory quilt? to Nancy Rodman, Gift Shop Manager at The Highground for her dedication and service.
