JANUARY MILK PRICES DOWN

Wisconsin's January milk price is expected to average $19.80 per hundredweight, which will be about $1.10 lower than December's price, but $3.60 higher than January 2011.According to the USDA, the expected U.S. milk price for January is $19.20 per cwt. This is 60 cents below December's price and 60 cents below Wisconsin's price. Twenty-one of the major milk producing states are predicting a price decrease from December to January.
