WIND CHILL ADVISORY

Bitter cold wind chills late tonight through Thursday morning...An arctic cold front will push across the area tonight ushering in another shot of bitter cold temperatures. Along with the cold temperatures, norhtwest winds of 15-25 mph are expected late tonight.
The combination of the cold temps and winds will result in wind chill values of 20 to 30 degrees below zero from late tonight through Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service in LaCrosse has issued a wind chill advisory which is in effect from 2 am to noon Thursday.
A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
