DMV CENTERS IN EVERY COUNTY
Saturday, January 14th, 2012 -- 10:31 AM
State transportation officials say every county will have a DMV center that offers at least 20 hours of service weekly beginning the week of January 23rd.The centers will offer at least 20 hours of driver license and identification card services in every Wisconsin county by the end of the month.
For the past several years, the Division of Motor Vehicles offered 20 hours of service in only 30 of the state's 72 counties. A provision in the 2011 to 2013 state budget, however, calls for the DMV to offer at least 20 hours per week in every county.
Transportation officials say they've been working to lease, equip and furnish permanent office facilities statewide.
