Hardee's Gives Big Donation to Highground Tribute

Monday, December 26th, 2011 -- 9:01 AM

(Neillsville, Wis. - Press Release from The Highground) Hardee?s of Neillsville was the location of the check presentation to The Highground. To celebrate they offered free Cinnamon ?N? Raisin Biscuits and Columbian Coffee on December 22, 2011. Through the ?Stars for Troops? franchise promotion last spring, funds were raised from Hardee?s patrons throughout the state. Dave Droste, Hardee?s Director of Operations for Cougar Enterprise, Mary and Al Williams, owners of Medford, Colby and Neillsville, presented an application to the franchise association to donate the funds to The Highground for 'Wisconsin's' and was awarded $10,000 from the foundation.

The new tribute?s road for construction was prepared by Boon Construction this past fall with a donation of $10,600+ from Boon Construction. The site is now ready to be prepared in the spring for The Bootprint construction.

The $10,000 Hardee?s donation will help get the construction underway and is greatly appreciated. There was a crowd on hand to help present this generous check that included Jon Munger, Franchise Owner and Treasurer of the IHFA (Independent Hardees Franchise Association), Mary Williams, Franchise Owner, Dave Droste, Nancy Olson and Amanda Hensiak, Persian Gulf Committee members, Greg Foye, The Highground Board of Director?s Chairman, Nancy Rodman, Volunteer Gift Shop Manager, Kay Anason, Donation Coordinator, Kirk Rodman, Volunteer General Manager of The Highground and other volunteers and contributors of The Highground.
