Gun-Deer Season Wraps Up
Monday, November 28th, 2011 -- 11:12 AM
The blaze orange will be hung up for another year. The state's traditional nine-day gun-deer season wrapped up Sunday with mixed results.
Clark County DNR Warden Adam Hanna says the final numbers won?t be in for awhile, but he observed fewer hunters and fewer deer this year than last.
On the plus-side, there were fewer accidents reported. There was a hunting-related shooting accident near Thorp during the opening weekend, but the victim in that shooting was released from the hospital on Thursday.
Hanna says he?s only heard of two accidents statewide. None were fatal.
