One Person In Hunting Accident Near Thorp

(Press Release) On Sunday, November 20, 2011, at about 7:43 am, the Clark County Sheriff?s Department received a 9-1-1 reporting that a hunter had been shot. The location of the incident was in the Township of Thorp, about 3 miles southwest of Thorp. The Clark County Sheriff?s Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources responded to the scene.Initial investigation indicates that one member of a hunting party was shooting at a deer when another hunting party member was shot. The Thorp Fire and Ambulance along with Ministry?s Spirit Air responded to the scene. The victim was flown to Ministry St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield where their condition is unknown.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in continuing their investigation into this incident. No other information is available at this time.
