CLARK CO. BOARD TO ACT TO BAN WEAPONS FROM COUNTY BUILDINGS

You wouldn?t be able to carry concealed weapons in county buildings under a resolution that will be before the Clark County Board next week.'Wisconsin's' [url=http://www.doj.state.wi.us/dles/cib/ConcealedCarry/ccw-faq-20111020.pdf]concealed carry law (FAQ .pdf)[/url] takes effect on November 1.
It allows local governments to prohibit the carrying of firearms and other concealed weapons in government buildings.
The resolution would prohibit anyone from carrying handguns, TASERS, billy clubs and knives in Clark County-owned buildings and directs the county?s maintenance staff to install signs at building entrances.
Authorized law enforcement personnel would be exempt from the ban.
Supervisors will meet on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
