Coronavirus Numbers for November 8th

-Taking a look at some local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 1,267 positive cases.  Of those, 269 are currently active and 91 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has 22 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 2,348 positive cases.  Of those 588 are active.  Wood has had 15 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 263,130 positive cases (an increase of 7,065 over the previous day) and 2,301 deaths, an increase of 45 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 12,727, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 2,713 positive, Eau Claire has seen 4,897 positive, Jackson has seen 846 positive, Marathon has seen 6,512 positive and Taylor has seen 671 positive.

Marathon has had 71 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 29 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 31 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 10 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 2 people die from the virus.
