Tuesday, October 4th, 2011 -- 2:55 PM
Wisconsin's new "Deer Czar" will get right to work.Gov. Scott Walker's administration calls him "the world's foremost expert in modern deer herd management."
James C. Kroll's first task will be to complete an in-depth study of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' herd management practices with a report due by March.
Some hunters claim there are fewer deer in the state's fields and woods.
Kroll serves as director of the Institute for White-tailed Deer Management and Research at Stephen F. Austin State University.
