Traffic crashes claimed 71 lives in Wisconsin last month, that?s five more than August of last year and above the five-year average of 65 traffic-related fatalities for the month. Through the first eight months of this year, 361 people have died along Wisconsin roadways ? seven fewer compared to the same period last year. State safety officials note a 17 percent drop in motorcyclist deaths compared to last year. Still, with the cycle-riding season expected to continue a few more months, traffic safety officials are asking both motorcyclists and other motorists to remain alert for each other, obey traffic laws and utilize safety equipment.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
