FARM LAND VALUE DOWN SLIGHTLY

The value of 'Wisconsin's' farm land dipped last year, but the volume of sales was up.The Wisconsin Ag Statistics Service says the average cost of farm land dipped about one percent between 2009 to 2010 to $4,028 per acre.
The value of farm land without buildings was up one percent to $3,791 per acre.
Land with buildings or improvements, averaged three percent lower than the previous year.
