CLARK CO. UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IMPROVES

Clark County?s unemployment rate improved in July, according to the latest report from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.Clark County?s jobless rate last month was 7.8%, down a half-percent from June and 1.2% from July of last year.
Clark County has the 37th highest unemployment rate in the state.
Elsewhere in the area, Wood County had an unemployment rate of 8.4%; Jackson County had a rate of 7.9% and Marathon County had a rate of 7.6%.
Menominee County had the highest rate in Wisconsin at 20.2%, and Dane County, the lowest, 5.4 percent.
