MANHUNT FOR ESCAPED INMATE SUCCESSFUL

The Clark County Sheriff?s Department tracked down an inmate who escaped after receiving medical care at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.The sheriff's department says Christopher Eugene DeMarrias, 18, escaped from custody at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
He fled northbound to the Black River wearing only boxers and handcuffs.
He was able to elude searchers for several hours, at one point swimming across the Black River.
The search involved multiple law enforcement officers, several police dogs and even an airplane.
DeMarrias was eventually found in a building located near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Hill Road.
